Dental Team Members

Dr. Christopher Shyue is a Seattle native, and he spent a part of his childhood in Taiwan. He received a double degree in Biology (Bachelor of Science) and Economics (Bachelor of Arts) from the University of Washington, then he went on to complete his dental education at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. 

During dental school, he completed an externship with Indian Health Service at the Blackfeet Community Hospital in Browning, Montana, as well as a Service Learning Rotation with Community Health Care at Lakewood Family Dental Clinic in Lakewood, Washington. 

Dr. Shyue has complete hundreds of hours in continuing education in areas including dental implants, moderate intravenous (IV) sedation, as well as other important subjects in dentistry. 

Dr. Shyue is actively involved in the local dental community. He is a member of Seattle-KingCounty Dental Society’s Executive Council, an Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.

Chelsea is our dental hygienist. Chelsea graduated from Pacific University School of  Dental Heath Science in 2015. She was born and raised in Warrenton, Oregon, which is where she moved back to after graduation. She took her first dental hygiene job here in Long Beach and has been here ever since.

When Chelsea is not at work, she is very busy raising her four-year-old son and twin one-year-old daughter and son.  Like most in the Pacific Northwest, they, too, look forward to the nice weather, where they spend all of their free time outdoors playing and gardening.

Chelsea is a very dedicated hygienist, who strives to give the best overall care to each and every one of her patients. She enjoys making personal connections with her patients and looks forward to meeting and taking care of all our patients' dental needs. 

Johanna is here to help with any financial or insurance questions. She has been in the dental field for over 19 years.  

Johanna started her journey in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2006, when she graduated from dental assisting school with her EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary), EFODA (Expanded Function Orthodontic Dental Assistant), and Radiology certificates. After 10 years of assisting, she transitioned to the front office, where she continues to utilize her knowledge to help our patients. 

She has lived in the Long Beach area for the past 25 years with her husband and two sons. When she is not at work, she likes to garden, go camping, sit around the fire, and just spend as much quality time as possible with her family and friends. 

She is here to help with any questions, and looks forward to meeting you. 

Brittany is the friendly face you will meet at the front desk. As a receptionist, she is dedicated to ensuring your visit is smooth and stress-free. From scheduling appointments to answering your questions, she is here to help.

When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her husband and three kids. They love exploring the outdoors, whether that's riding horses, exploring in the woods, or being at the beach. She is also a passionate gardener, and she enjoys hanging out with her feathered friends - her chickens! 

Brittany graduated from dental assisting school in 2008 with her EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) certification, and she excited to bring her skills and experience to our dental team. She looks forward to welcoming you to our office!

Lily is a dedicated dental assistant who graduated from Concorde in 2021. Raised in Naselle, Washington, she has always been passionate about sports, playing throughout her life and now giving back to her community by coaching softball for her Alma mater. In addition to her professional career, Lily values time spent with family and friends, finding balance through weightlifting and enjoying the simple moments in life. Her commitment to health, fitness, and community involvement shines through in both her personal and professional endeavors.

Melany is a skilled dental assistant, having graduated from Concord Career College in 2010. Born and raised on the peninsula, she has a strong connection to her roots and a passion for helping others maintain healthy smiles. Outside of her professional life, she’s a devoted mother to a daughter who competes in rodeos and enjoys horseback riding. Melany loves spending time with her family, whether it’s camping, playing at the lake, or baking tasty treats. She’s also a proud pet owner, sharing her home with two dogs and a cat.

Wylie was born and raised in Long Beach, Washington. She  graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from George Fox University in April 2024. 

She recently joined Willapa Dental as a dental assistant in October of 2024. She enjoys helping the office anywhere that is needed, and finds satisfaction in providing care to our patients. Wylie plans on pursuing a career in dental hygiene, so she is grateful for every learning opportunity that every patient interaction offers. 

Outside of the office, she spends her time riding and barrel racing with her horses, going to the gym, and cooking new recipes.
